Join New Voices for Reproductive Justice / New Voices Pittsburgh on International Women's Day for a pre-release film screening of A Wrinkle in Time during our 11th annual Women of Color HERStory Month® (WOCHM®) celebration. This film based on the 1962 novel by Madeleine L'Engle directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma, 13th, Queen Sugar) and starring Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Zach Galifianakis.

A Wrinkle in Time is a groundbreaking film focused on a girl of color who will save the Universe and it is the first film directed by a Black women to have a $100 million budget. Join us for this special event focued on girls, femmes and young women of color during Women of Color HERStory Month®. Purchase an adult ticket with snacks ($20) that includes a mini drink and popcorn or a child ticket ($15) for this special event. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Tickets may be available at the door but plan to purchase them online. We encourage you to bring a girl, young femme or young women of color to this amazing film and get your tickets today because space is limited! ::About the Film::
Meg Murry (Storm Reid) and her little brother, Charles Wallace, have been without their scientist father, Mr. Murry (Chris Pine), for five years, ever since he discovered a new planet and used the concept known as a tesseract to travel there. Joined by Meg's classmate Calvin O'Keefe and guided by the three mysterious astral travelers known as Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), the children brave a dangerous journey to a planet that possesses all of the evil in the universe.
