Sister to Sister Salon Conversation Pittsburgh

Join New Voices and our co-host, the amazing Marita Garrett, Vice President of Wilkinsburg Borough Council, for an evening of conversation about Black women and national politics!

In celebration of Women of Color HERStory Month® 2016, we will host a Sister to Sister Salon Conversation in Pittsburgh in partnership with Higher Heights, an organization with a mission to build a national civic engagement infrastructure and network to strengthen Black women's leadership capacity.

We know that the U.S. political system can no longer ignore Black women's voices and 2016 provides a unique opportunity to harness Black women's political power and leadership from the voting booth to elected representation.

Learn about how New Voices is reaching 80,000 Black women in Allegheny County through our Voice Your Vote! Project™ and how you can work or volunteer with us this year to increase our reach throughout the region.

It will be a great evening of dynamic conversation with amazing Black women and - of course - delicious food and beverage. You must RSVP to herstory@newvoicespittsburgh to attend. The location is at a private residence in Stanton Heights. You will receive the address when you RSVP. Space is limited to the first 25-30 people who RSVP.
